I look in the mirror
And I don’t see myself
I see the past my past transgressions
Surrounding me
Haunting my present

The Seven Deadly Sins are my life
Greed: What’s mine is mine but I want her
Lust: Longing for her touch
Envy: Why does he have her?
Wrath: I hate him
Gluttony: I’ll drink his blood
Sloth: That lazy bastard
Pride: I will have her yet

She walks by and smiles sadly
Like she knows how I feel
She looks at me
Asking for help, trapped
As far from me as I am from her

I look in the mirror
And realize
My sins are not what consume me
She is.

Intriguing. Obsession can evoke some pretty terrible feelings and behavior in people, but as long as you're able to come to terms with it, it won't harm you.

hmmmmm yes sins are consumptive aren't they... the revelation at the end and the mere mention of the sins recalls The Faerie Queene to me... thank you; If I find the passage i will return to share ...
