I've been digging through the past
For a glimpse into the future
Fuck it
Maybe I'll high dose on mushrooms
And catapult myself there
But that will just pile the dirt higher
I'm looking for a clean connection
One that is buried deep
Beneath pages of ink
Beneath the sky of stars
And sunset pink
Where the words glow
Red and yellow
And wonder leaps
Blindly down sand dunes
Carelessly caressing the fall, as it's all
Another black line another blank call
The fingers reach for their little thoughts
Bleeding so much
During these dry airy nights
It hurts to hold a pen
