Abandoned and confused
Misguided thoughts
Of a misdirected mind
Something is missing
What I cant explain
All I know is that
It isnt anywhere
I see me changing
becoming something I am not
burning deep down inside
Is the hatred and Rage that I hide
memories lingering
wont seem to go away
I wish I could forget
just for one day
you were my everything
possibly more
I never thought
I would want to forget
please know I do not regret
Anything I have done
but i cant stand
the person I have become
Slipping away from me
And what I truely am
Giving up everything
the smile you once adored
the laugh that you treasured
are fragments of the past
Happiness dwindling
I am hanging by a thread
Why can I just forget
The life that I have lead
I wish I could have been
Been a desirable creature
Maybe
Just maybe
I wouldn’t hate all that I am
