Am I that one I always wanted to be?
Has the butterfly flown?
 Instead of the moth?

the stories are about her
the songs are about her
my world was wanting to be her
so what have I become?

is this the same
 staring back at me?
have I changed?
has she?
or were we always the same?
who is the song?

am I seeing?
or not seeing?
for the first time
is this me being me?
or seeing what I want to see?
