I put on a mask
So no one can see who I truly am.
And the minute I take it off
They look at me like damn.
The mask is my only protection
To hide from everyones lies.
Sometimes I get frustrated with myself
Because it's my only disguise.
Once I uncover myself
They all look at me like I'm a sadist.
Even if I was
I wouldn't be at my craziest.
Because I rarely take off my mask
Very few people know the true me.
It's so hard to trust people
Because the lock to my heart needs their key.
Every person I've ever opened up to
Leaves me with broken memories.
They consider me The Enemy in Disguise
Because I haunt their reveries.
No one likes my inner core
Because it's so ugly and cracked.
This is why I have a mask...
So I can have something to hide behind.

some advice lose the rhyming, its takes away from your meaning. This is a piece of crap because of the rhyme but if you just wrote how you feel maybe its salvagable
