I nailed
myself

to the streets

pounding

the spikes deep through my feet

I don't have the sex to sell for your drugs,
I'm addicted but I can't pay for my crutch

I’m addicted like a blue eyed sinner,
that can't pay for gods love

I’m addicted like a drowning man for breath,

seconds to death

And I can’t surface, anyways… not enough
To escape the nightmares

I ‘m still standing in the alley, like a moth to a flame
Draped in carrion
Poking at the poison, sticking to my veins

I watched you die
And I was too junked up
To say goodbye

goodbye

"And I can't surface, anyways...not enough/To escape the nightmares" ...this is stated in stuttered syllable of lovely lines...Excellent. ~*Beth*~

Stung by this, the brevity and spacing of lines really gives dimension to the language that squeeze out the pores of emotion under your restless skin. Goodbye.

Sad and beautiful. I love the way you worded this. Nicely done.
