caressed by waves of magnolias and monarch breezes
i slumber in your Edenian forevers beneath your quilt of fortune
tucked into a meadow of primed tranquility and sagacity
where i meet you again in the crevices of the night sky
and spill my heart in broken whiplashes -
i dreamt of you again, my dear.
a temptress masked by midnight northern lights
kissing lagoons into the eyes of innocence
and fingerpainting smiles into the hearts of children
a goddess atop snow-laiden skyscrapers and subways
singing of raindrop romances and heartbreak
buried beneath snowstorms of dignity.
and i imagine that you mend the wings of doves,
suture the wounds of the neglected,
and calm those in the eye of the storm
where i pray you will unbar my soul and open my eyes
and give me a tour of the heavens.
