From behind the liquid landscape
Boxed against the wall
It smiles when I'm not smiling
It laughs when I'm not laughing
It screams when I'm not screaming
Stop it, I say
With fire eyes and razor lips
With leather skin and blackened cheeks
It spits when I'm not spitting
It lies when I'm not lying
Go away, I say
It haunts my last asylum
It diminishes my quantum
The germ in my decay
Bent on my destruction
Versed in the ways of seduction
It climbs out of bondage reflection
And lunges at my soul
So I just look away
