You’ll never know how much I care,
It’s only a matter of time before you break my heart,
But that doesn’t stop me,
I will fall head over heels,
With some flips in between,
In love with you
And at my highest high
You will bring me to my lowest low
And I could stop it from coming
But then I would never know
The touch of your soul,
The warmth of your heart,
The caress of your love,
Your essence bleeding into me
And for that I will deal,
With this breaking of my heart
Knowing what’s coming
Which we don’t understand
But it isn’t always too bad…

Ah, to risk pain for that solitary moment of warmth is something we all need to learn how to do. Wonderful write, and welcome to dp. *Evangel*
