My life closed twice before its close-
once when I lost you and again when you died.
When you left my side I felt dead in my heart.
Your suicide was never explained,
the note said nothing but goodbye.
Why did you leave us all on that rainy night?
I awoke that eve with tears on my lashes and a hole in my soul.
Now that hole is in my flesh.
My last moments on earth the worst in my life.
I will join you sooner than I thought,
for this man's anger struck the wrong vessel.
