Crystal raindrops falling
Down
The reflective window
That slowly thinks its days through
Watching life inside and out
Always observing, doomed never to speak
Until that day...
That fateful moment that shatters the thoughtful glass
Its fragile life flying away in shards with a tinkling cry
As something so small sails through its heart
Perhaps a rock...
Or a carelessly hit ball by a young child
Too innocent to know better
Too new to this world to know the agony
The child will feel ashamed for but a moment
Soon to move on with their own life
And forget the window within a moment's time

And the raindrops still fall
Trying in vain to repair the hole
Making a desperate effort to soothe the pain
Of a wound that will never truly heal

"Making a desperate effort to soothe the pain/Of a wound that will never truly heal" Much like love's tears try in vain to heal our hearts when broken. Wonderful message. *Evangel*
