  you use to capture my beauty
in your eyes as every day meant that
something better for us would come together
but lately even though the weather said,
"Storms would be heading our way."
I still waited here in your arms
to capture the skies crying again.
  
  it was the little things that
tore us apart I remember
those nights so well as not even
the drinking could numb
this heart of pain that I held
so close in my hand's;
I almost begged the sun not to
show its golden smile to me.

  alone never felt so secure for me
as every night ended up this way
since we went our seperate ways
and I bled the candles to
its wicks end that laughed
way too loud for me to comprehend why
it was laughing at my broken heart again.

  even though I should have known that
this was how I was going to turn out;
with nothing but dried out tears falling from my eyes
from all of the years that loneliness
captured my heart before you did;
I almost wished that I could
show you a smile that
told you I was ok this time around.
