  I tried to cry tonight
but I couldn't remember how to
as the tears got bottled up
from the drinking that
made it worse I got lost in
the yesterdays that never
seemed to understand me anymore.

  waiting here for a reason to believe
of why and how I ended up this way
as nothing seems to make sense to me
now a days
I am almost forced to believe in
miracles when I never believed
in anything at all.

  thoughts composed of corruption coming
to an end never lasted past
the day light that just
seemed to get lost by the hind sight
breaking the chorus in two;
as bad as I sang Kareoke even when
I was drunk I could tell that you knew
where I was coming from.

  I felt the pain tonight captivate my heart
like never before as my yesterdays got lost in
the clouds catching my wishes in
their hands again I
waited, waited, waited, waited here
for a smile to excell past my lips
that never showed you I could love;
and even though that last thought gave me a
reason to cry I ignored the feelings as
I got lost in the yesterdays that
never ended for me.

Exceptional as always! This is why I miss when you haven't posted new stuff for a while. Reading your words, I always find myself drifting off into a black and white movie playing in my head, with your poetry as narration - sad, but beautiful! Thanks for read, friend ;
