lately it's been hard;
hard for me to wake up past
those foot holds that never
seem to turn a leaf over side ways;
and I wondered when I'd be given a
second chance to believe.
I chased the sun in my dreams tonight
just before the moons fell from
the stars dancing that told me
I got lost in the
echoes breaking along the way.
I almost thought I could hear
the silence praying that said I wasn't
a lost child drifting into the sea;
but as green pastures folded into a torn misery
I waited for the Serum to collapse
from my hands that touched my lips tonight.
Sonnets of deliriums impressed me
long enough for me to stay this time
and I think I might have made a new friend
that was just as fucked up as me.
I woke up with golden bridges
waiting for me in the background
and I saw white paranoias glistening
into the static clouds that left the rainbows laughing;
as the red moon broke into crystal glass;
all I could do was smile.
