I looked into your eyes
and thought I saw your beauty
hold me close to you
but it ended up being
a kiss left cold for me
that only left the stains
of a broken heart insecure once more.
I took that shot of Whiskey
who loved me so much more than you
in my hands tonight
only because the numbness
had already set in
early in the morning
way before my pain
caused you to smile.
but just like you smiled
because my hurt brought you laughter
so I engraved my name
on my own Tombstone
that was left from a cold stare from you
as you placed a dozen roses
on my grave
I thought I almost saw a
single tear fall from your face.
I guess that was just wishfull thinking
on my part
as I've always prayed that
someone would love me
for who I was
but now no one will ever
have that chance because
the pain of my lonely heart
bled to Death tonight
from a kiss left cold for me.
