(ok so this could be another
Country Song. so shoot me :P)
I've got a new pair of shoes on my feet.
I've got a new line of credit.
on a piece of plastic.
on a card of a gold named Platnum.
I've got a new Country Song.
stuck in my head.
I've got a new woman stuck on my arm.
who I know will never leave me.
I've got a kiss that.
missed you badly tonight.
hanging on my cheek.
that left me into the.
center of attention that.
called it an end forever.
between the two of us.
I've got a pocket full of.
a one hundred dollar bills that.
left the gold platnum card maxed out.
into the empty beer cans.
laying on the floor.
that only tried to forget of.
a past so unforgiving that.
almost ended my life.
more than a couple of times.
and tonight I toast myself.
to the Whiskey Gods above.
who never believed in me anyway.
and I sang in unison with.
the kereoke machine.
as my favorite Country Song.
played about being:
drunk, broke, and alone.
as that memory left me.
into an after thought that.
brought tears to my eyes.
because I've only wandered into.
places that used my billfold for.
more than for what it is worth.
and only to slip me a piece of.
a broken heart that.
never lasted past.
the next credit card bill.
that just brought back the memories that.
were lost into a drinking fixation.
that held the twentey dollar bill.
so close to me that they.
dug deep into my skin.
never wanting to let go.
until the Waitress poured me.
another cold one.
as I left her a ten dollar tip.
instead of a one.
everything folded into a reason.
that called me Sober almost.
that didn't even last for a second for me.
as I continued to cheer my favorite.
Country Song along.
only because it was the most.
real thing that I ever knew to be true.
and once again I am lost.
into the seduction of.
a fantasy come almost true.
but yet unforgiven.
because in the end.
it never really happened.
it was only another dream.
lost into the fantasies of my.
broken heart of a love lost forever.
that ended up into a new.
Country Song playing on the radio tonight.
