The thousand lights flicker in the city below
While the building rooftop shelters you and I,
Still, kept the foreign eyes you made known
To my soul that catches your every sigh.
The night winds whirl to a star in the clouds
Where your tears condensed into bright auroras
Each whisper you breathe, though never heard loud
Floods my heartbeat in words and supernovas.
I then stare into your eyes, your foreign eyes
and feign a happy expression, mixing the galaxies in the sky
Thinking, if I could only reach into the abyss inside your heart,
You then would look up and render true these make-believe smiles.
But the midnight yawned, and your lips quivered against the lights
And your head was nearing mine, music louder now than the crumbling signs
I then drowned in your eyes where the thousand lights collide,
And inched towards where you sit, wrote a kiss, but you then sank into my shoulders and cried.
