giving up

im cradled in a corner
of a dark empty room
slowly rotting away
praying the end will come soon

ive lost all my strength
left weak and unsure
unable to understand
yet, not wanting to know

hiding behind a shadow
wishing away my pain
slowly leaving me hollow
a face with no name,
a soul with no fate
