It is Friday night and she’s all dressed up.
Her lover approaches her with a gift of love.
She examines the package and gives it a shake,
His gift is a scar and a migraine headache.

The little signs too soon ignored
With holding hands she soon was bored
She's kissing his lips with increased agression
And, yes, Cheryl is going out with Depression.

She meanders through a burned copse
Looking for the remnants of lost hopes
Her boyfriend joins her, takes her hand
Asks, “Will you marry me?” and...

She says yes.
