O SHE SHINES
CATCHES MY EYES
I RESIST IF ONLY
TO SAVOR TEMPTATION

PICK HER UP; SHE LIES ON MY SHOULDER,
I REST MY FINGERTIPS ON HER NECK.
PAUSE FOR A MOMENT JUST TO HOLD HER,
BEING CAREFUL LIKE SHE’S NEWLY BORN.

I GRIP HER AND MAKE HER SCREAM,
A JOY FOR BOTH HER AND ME.
WE DANCE TO OUR BROKEN MUSIC,
CHERISH THE MOMENT FOR WE’RE GONNA LOOSE IT.

O I HOLD HER TIL THE MUSIC FADES AWAY.
HER LIFE’S THE PILLOW THAT SUPPORTS MY HEAVY HEAD.
SHE IS A GIFT FORM ABOVE, YEA A BLESSING.
WHAT A LOVELY GUITAR YOU ARE, DEAR BESSIE.

Fantastic surprise. I love my guitar in very much the same manner. I call her April Rain. Wonderful poem.
