...in the end, it's not the
   words of your enemies that
   you'll remember-but the
   silence of your friends...

welcome home soldier
not much has changed since you been gone
the faces are all the same
and everyone still knows your name

I MISS YOU BROTHER

welcome home hero
the long silence is glad to be through
stay proud but humble, walk tall
those lonely eyes have seen it all

I MISS YOU JAMES

welcome home brother
i never lost sight of your heart
a constant, pleaful, soul-patched prayer
never, ever forget how much i CARE

I MISS YOU FRIEND

welcome home loved one
the colors didn't fade, but they're not so bright
no one else will ever understand
what i know in you-brother, friend, man

I MISS YOU FAT BOY

welcome home friend
it's alright; it's okay
we'll all live to fight another day
no one else will ever know
my love for you trancends all others in my way

I MISS YOU JAMES
WELCOME HOME

This was truly awesome. Not written with alot of flourish, but the feelings and the humanity made it my favorite of all the poems I've read today. Plain and simple, I'm with you man. I have some friends in the grinder, and I'm hoping they come back saf

This one gets a long hard "Awwwwwwwwww". Grats on having your brother home safe. What our soldiers do, though imo misguided, is no less honored. A great welcome home for a great soldier, i'm sure.
