as the realization of yet another dreary
day slowly seeped into Expiry's still sleep
foggy mind, she somehow managed a crooked
half-smile. today marked the first day of
the warm season, and that meant there would
be plenty of fresh baked strawberry(and other sorts
of berries)stussle.
she lightly hummed her favorite melody as she rose
and straightened the covers on her bed.
ma and da always made such a fuss about the
clutter and lack of cleanliness in her room,
and expiry millis was not about to miss out on
spring festival thanks to mussed bedding.

the cheers from the village grew steadily louder
as the wizard grew closer and closer...his
presence was carried on the breeze and in the
scent of spring air....
