no longer
do i dream the sandman's dream
but instead
i listen to the crystal reaper's scream

my eyes are ablaze
with fear and paranoid fantasy
unblinking
i see what my speed demon sees

my conscience
and unconsciousness seem to think alike
one more
to calm severed nerves and mind

oh shit!
i've forgotten who(what) i am
here i go
fucked up and spun out again

undreamt clouds
crumble, tumble before me
as i fall
to pray to a god unseen
and beg
for help in my time of agony

an answer
rings true from deep inside of me
yet no angel
hears my sorrowful and rustic pleas

my shadowless spawn
walks the face of the clock
slower
grinds the tic from the toc

my body
squirms while night creeps
day seeps
and i delusion sleep(softly weep)

one more lie
as once again i face the mirror
and realize
the lines are growing clearer

my face is painted
ever more paler
my body
grows ever frailer

promise myself
no, i won't live this way
deceive myself
this is my last speed demon day
