drop the pretentions, raise your skirt
we both know why we're here
but the good Lord will forgive you
'cuz your daddy never loved you
and tonight you could just be the one
the one to save my soul
save my tortured soul
i'm the devil's intentions to your angel face
and that song i was singing?
i wrote it for you
and i swear i've seen you before
maybe in my dreams
bartender, get the lady another drink
tonight she's gonna save my soul
save my tortured soul
I'm only in town for one more night
with commitment issues, no time for love
my hearts been broken, my music is my mistress
(pick a line baby...any line you'd like)
one day soon i'll settle down
with a sweet faced girl who's just like you
i want love, i swear
but i'm just to scared
tonight, i just need to be absolved
be my priestess
be my angel
won't you try to save my soul
just tonight
save my tortured soul

oh, damn...thank you, but I know a musician who's requested lyrics...this was actually meant to be a sarcastic jab at one night stands ....I just had to be honest with you, but I think it's cool that you found beauty in this

This was just beautiful, I loved every word for I held onto it such precious care. It just fall and made me weep until tears could resolve the pain I felt in this poem. And the savior you long for ~nightly
