you lack my passion
compensating instead with a dark wit
rich and verbose
it lingers sometimes with a finish that i cant quite put my finger on
and oddly you have been paired
with me
mellow and sparkling
with a strange lingering heat
a spice that hides and then bites
sometimes
im glad we are so different
sometimes
i want something more like me
i get angry at the fact you dont need me
while i try so hard not to let you worm under my skin
plotting my petty revenges while i bite my nails
yes, it's true
i am nothing if not petulant at times
stormy even
while you breeze cooly through life unconcerned
no man is an island
except maybe you
sometimes
i envy your strength, your wall
sometimes
id rather feel everything with heat than be as frigid as you
