you know the winds are changing
and i'm itching inside
spliting off this facade
snakeskin peeling
hermit crab hunting for a newer
bigger
better
shell

*but this time, i'm going softshell*

i can feel it welling
every time i look in a mirror
and find no flaws
i am what i am

i know its coming
when the nympho just wants to cuddle
when the hard drinking good time girl
speaks out against the speakeasy

this, a change
to something
softer
quieter

i'm becoming someone more like myself
with every heady intake of breath
a girl could get used to this

welcome
to the metamorphasis
