"and the light of the stars fade into the depths of the blackest nights."

love is,
merely another mistake.
a heart misused,
an emotion misplaced.
love is a failure,
waiting to be made.

happiness is,
a dream out of reach.
a fading star,
a delicate center-piece,
made to break.

we'd give it all,
for each morn to wake,
and see happiness and love,
within a single face.

we'd lie, cheat and steal,
to rid ourselves of the fear,
and the days of being the only one here.

loneliness, love, and happiness,
seem to all go hand in hand.

what does it take to have it all in the end?
