Random Poetry

Without consequence
I plunged
Into the midnight waters
That all the great poets
Have written of
And cried into

Immediately
A release came
With the slicing
Of ice
Through my veins

It burned
Like a Sun
God’s wrath
Inflicted
Carefully

I shall float
Along until
The muses
Tempt me
Balance lost

It will be
Reluctant joy
For my
Hollowing
Heart

The passing time
Suspended in
Current
Though it is steady
Hedonists reign

It is perfect
But he
Reaches out
His hand, smooth&
Cold as a needle

And I
Cannot resist
The unwanted
Element
So I grab his pulse

This came up randomly when I searched for a random poem. I didn't realize it was you 'til the bottom. I am coming to this realization that you are so much wiser than I am. I am recently finding so much more meaning in everything you have written. I have a lot of respect for you as an artist, especially since I have lived much more now than I had when I first met you. Back to the poem... this really gives me a sense of regret that I truly relate to. The disrupting of perfection with something that is so banal. Lovely.

Reading this was like being made love to by the beautiful muse. Short, satisfying thrusts of rhythm and language.
