The dog tries to eat
A stow-away cricket
As I ignite fireflies
On my tongue
It's lightning in your eyes
When I tell you
We'll see it all
Plans are
Unnecessary
Just like
The purple boas fluttering
Over my beaded smile
Cheshire grin, half-missing
I'm scanning
Infomercials
And cheap
Cigarette burned
Late-night porn on
The superhighway
Of your spine
It's nights like these
You pray you'll remember
In the morning
