I regret to inform you of these grieved tears
These thoughts which hold my lonely fears

I chased a dream that couldn't be caught
Taught a truth that just couldn't be taught

Laughed at a joke while all the more crying inside
Fought to live but yet still wanted to die

Went after a heart that I could not simply have
Picked until blood over-ran the scabs

Turned bruises into invisible scars over time
Defined happiness as an unlawful crime

Loved until I felt sick to my own stomach
Tried cutting a silence that was much too thick

Fell to the ground and never did really get back up
So each time I sunk further, out-ran streaks of luck

Erased lies but by doing so forgot the truth
Until eventually it caught up to me with proof

Found that living inside yourself can only make things worse
But yet I still do it because its the only thing that works

Bottled up my emotions when they should have been vented
Got frustrated, confused, lost, and all the things I resented

Grew sick of myself inside and out
Filled myself up with all kinds of doubt

Made myself someone I don't even recognize anymore
Someone unsavable and impossible to explore

Lived a history I'd rather forget with time but it appears that I cannot
Dwelled within the sorrows that proceeded to overflow my thoughts.
