He spoke to her and looked into her eyes, yet all he heard
were cliches spilling from her tongue. Tales of tragically
dramatic love stories were woven through her speech,
while caresses and intimate contact mimicked those
seen on the latest romance film. She continued
with her charade of devotion, trying to control
every motion that he made by relating them to the
hurt that she'd attained. He would not be restrained
by someone caught up in the fantasy of another
man's sick vision of the perfect order of love.

~~ love has no order, not even a visible pattern. ~~

"Don't throw me your useless quivering of lips, or
hand-crafted Cupid darts that seem to spring
out from your eyes with each glare of hopeless
clinging to the life we once lived in bliss."

~~ love is not a rhyme to be spoken without thought. ~~

The sound of her begging and desperate pleas
for his heart were fatiguing his mind to the near
point of total shutdown. He felt his ears begin
to bleed as her sobs pierced through his eardrums,
yet he would not show any signs of her affecting him
in that way. He'd admitted that he loved her, but he could not
be with her. Not then, and who knows when
their hearts shall reconcile and their minds
can cohabitate within that broken relationship.

~~ love may be forever, but happiness always fades. ~~

A melancholy gem. "Love is not a rhyme to be spoken without thought" They say that even what seems to be coincidence is probably just reason and rhyme in disguise. But if that falls short of anything it's love. Great job.
