Dreams of whisper sneak in through the window
churning misbegotten thoughts of
evil from the twisted mind
that lay in wait
for the spirit of the corpse
to slip from its grasp
enabling the capture
of an innocent,
fueling the malice
until it consumes
every nerve
every tingle
every single tiny part
of the titanic mastermind
that has fizzled away
to acid
leaving trails of
melting bubbles
on the floor,
burning away the rain
that dripped upon
the forehead
that lay
ahead
staring blankly toward
it's post-demise
stagnant fluid seeping
out through the crack
in the skull,
leaking memories
wishes
regrets
decisions
hopes and fears
pooling in the sockets
of the valleys for eyes
sinking down the pupil
irritating entrails
forcing them out into the
open to show everyone
why it has gone...
