Flames dancing, reaching skyward
burning flesh and homes.
Friends, family, everyone i ever cared about;
dead.
Arrow, axe, sword, spear, not battle; massacure.
Dancing shadows, trying to hide.
First arrow; Death's Kiss.

~

Silence...
Silence but for the mourning cries
lead by Wolf and Raven.
Three hundred of us.
Now ten.
Smoke, funeral-pyres, Eternal Night.

~

The last fire to burn...
Garbed in what he wore at Rite, Ritual, Feastival.
As was i.
Not his pyre, not mine, ours.
I lay beside him, my head on his chest.
Our fingers intertwined, holding hands.

~

The flames rise, as the rain falls,
kissing away my tears like he did.
It kissed my tears away,
but it has yet to kiss away my pain.

..and part of me wishes you hadn't made it so beautiful, though.. it is easier to embrace that way..? *sigh* Tumultuous write.
