ribs pressed to the peak
muscles wearingold
sleek
in atrophy
rain escaped the sea
sooth the ocean
rocking motion
worn grooves
wearing
ancient camels staring
wanting to believe
humps are the mountains
that their
people need

while arms of foliage

seduction
breaking
can she finally see
exactly
what was
promised
not to be
necklace of shelter
bringing the cactus
swim closer
under the earth
air flooding waters
fired
their wells
replenished
regurgitate for our birds
born without wings
told that
they are human
with a scorpion sting
