I sit here and force these words onto paper,
Yeht yrt ot tsiser yb gniraeppa sdrawkcab.
My perspective of reality has been changing,
This world lacks the beauty I once saw.
I see the flaws of humanity,
But I alone am helpless to mend our kind.
The worlds inside my mind seem so real,
Who is to say they’re not?
A distorted dimension of surrealism inside my head,
Fabricated from one too many lonely nights,
That fall short of the medically recommended amount of sleep.
One of these days,
My mind will escape from it’s container.
No longer bound by the tenacious gravity,
It will float away from this ruin.
And when I am gone,
I will be free to live peacefully in my dreamland.
