thought I had
it figured out
for the longest time

world by the tail
bird in hand
and all that

hubris has its
aficionados

then when the great unraveling began
and the wearing down kicked in

and the long
slow
liquid
glide path
commenced

it was like
some impossibly
tragic
seemingly voluntary
death march

to the cliff
and to
the rocks below

half way down
came the clarity

together
was never
part of the plot

and now
still in the air
not sure
if its falling
rising
or merely
floating along

at least
the arrogance
is gone

that's a good thing
ain't it?

A perfect perception and one that i live by after so many years so misconception, it really needs to be quoted more universally in order to put others at ease and show that it's all about the conscious effort that's made and not the perception of "life success"..well done.
