i once held the stars in my arms. they were held close to keep this shallow dead soul alive for a few more hours. The only light in the world came from her smile, the only warmth from her laughter. I once held love in my arms. Her soft touch and delicate skin the only tangible proof that i was alive and not just dreaming of perfection. The sent of the wood smoke that clung to her clothes still haunts my dreams. I once stood in paridise. I drank its sweet water and slept under its gental green canopy. I once lived a life worth living. I once was a man. A man. A real man wouldn't raise paridise. The man that i am did. I poisend the rivers of eternal life with the corosive juice of doubt. I cut down the willows with an axe made out of hope for her. I burned what was perfection, dousing the stars in the icey black depths of my soul. I drove away all that kept me alive, yet fate keeps me alive to remind me of my sins. My sins against sarah.
