One second, a a second split and held supended in time,
Seemingly lifetimes ago,
I peered at you and saw secret you hold dear
Desiring my attention,
and revealing things you held out to me
For thefirst time.
You had that usual, boyish grin in tow
Yet it was not difficult to realize you wanted me to know these secrets,
To feel your pain, your anguish, your desire to be needed, held, and loved fiercely.
I saw everything as if it were a slow and silent movie from ago,
I saw the years you have sailed the earth green and blue,
Always portraying the journey as calm and unnoteworthy.
Never one to be too honest or forthright,
Disagreeable moments still clung to,
Reflections of lonely, sad, neglected days.
I suddenly knew most definitely and without doubt,
You had opened this portal into your soul
You needed me to peer in and realize your inner self.
Save your opening of your spirit,
I knew not if you desired others to know these things-
Or was it meant solely for me.
You have been my hero through the many tears of sadness I've released,
Without you knowing exactly what I needed from you,
Lest even a single sound parted my lips,
You sensed my tormented soul and you healed me.
Now, my friend,
Let your hand find itself held by mine,
Let my nuturing soul comfort you,
I am now here to save you.
We will join as one and sail these seas of life,
Knowing all too well, that we needn't be alone ever more.
Learn to lean on me,
let me heal thine soul.

Oh... okay... now I feel dumb for missing that, but well now that you've given me this perspective... I am much more pleased... then again its not about pleasing me, but it should be... thats what matters.
