I am a business professional who moved from FL to AK. I used to post to Dark Poetry a few years ago (1999-2002) as LadyDeath. Unfortunately, I learned in my reapplication last month that I am unable to choose that name again. The web seemed to eat my app as a result. So I'm here again! I'm pleased to see that Matt has added to the site to allow for billing and such (no more hidden money). I have referred emerging poets to this site and a friend of mine in AK really wants to join and use me as a referral – so I figure I’d best start this process again and send a bribe to the lower 48.
While in Florida I was married and had the last name Rush. Love the name, but Warden carries far more interesting connotations. My goal is to support artists in different media and to run a museum in Seattle or Anchorage.
I tend to write haiku, short stories, and prose. I also have a passion for writing puppet plays that challenge the traditional social mores associated with gender roles. (woof, did I really just say that to you guys?) In short, I enjoy exploring the unlit corners of our mind. I am amused by gothic mainstreaming. I can say that because I demonstrated this sort of attitude before it had a label.
