Perhaps you dreamt of Someone Else
As you responded so eagerly to my touch
But as conscious and subconscious minds merged
You stilled my hand and turned away
Again….
Tears leapt unbidden to my Eyes
My heart shattered by the Rejection
My mind raped by demons past.
In a fleeting moment
I'm writhing in the Agony
Of being Unwanted
Again…..
I sigh to cover the Tears
As I slide to the edge of the bed
My heart a tangled mess
The tears flow silently
As I dress
And walk away from you
Again….
For one rebellious moment
Driven by the insanity of Past and Present
My mind screams ‘Enough’
My Soul withers at the thought
And I know I’ve lied to myself
Again…..

Saddening...and so tragic. This was beautiful in all it's whole-hearted glory.
