It seems as though the only time
My ebbing soul can speak
Is when fruition falls a'prey
beneath god's feet, beneath
When requiems parade aloud
The ink begins to speak
When shadows dance around my doubts
When fiersome voices shriek
When shattered dreams adorn the ground
Nutrition fills the seeds
Which blossom - orchids paled
A'top the soils of tragedy
When crashing tears eclipse the dawn
Becoming restless seas
and fear engulfs mirth's fluting song
Like swarming desert bees
When wisping fogs of madness
Float as ghosts above the trees
Only then does poetry
Pervade me with such ease
When romance disappears
beneath the swaying of the leafs
and sulking stands my only chance
Of fickle, dim reprieve
From bleak mirages tempting me
To pitiously dream
Of seeing you again
emblazoned righteously, My Queen!
But soon the fog retreats
revealing once again the screams
Which tear beneath my skull
Devouring the memories
Alone the thought of you
The single grain they can't berieve
Only then does poetry
Pervade me with such ease
