Before you spit those words aflaunt - to me most baffling
I must efface mine shield so that you may
Witness countless tragedies which swarm like desert bees
Dead atop the soils of mine brae
Don't bare your heart to me I beg for hunger has its price
deep neath the mirthful flicker of my smile
If you so choose - a time will come when kisses have so sway
And teeth will plunder thoust enchanted isle
Don't stare into my eyne for once you find yourself entrentched
Within the fetters of a poet's wit
Bound to me you'll fall into the chasms of despair
Those painful memories often relived
Don't sing to me unless you wish your throat to loose its pitch
For ears which rarely listen - nil are reached
Don't whisper lest you crave an ill reply from frigid lips
Thrown by fear - by human hands, ne'er beached
Don't straddle me within the flux persperated steem
Beneath the harvest moon until the dawn
Unless you wish to bare a child burdened by the world
Inherent with his father's sense of wrong
Don't look into my mind unless you wish to stumble back
For seldom shall you see a thought of you
Above all ne'er demand your exaltation 'top my art
Creation is to me - what I'm to you
When swept away by doldroms of ethereal reprieve
You must observe and never treck behind
For if you wish to win my love of you and only you
I'd ask that you remove your hand from mine
This poet's dreams shall never be subdued by any girl
But if you wish to thole thro ev'ry whim
I'd now allow you to bequeath those words which I've cut short
So that our prosperous journey may begin
