So often I sail 'top the waters of word
Those puzzles spilled forth by a pen
To savage, To honor - within or beyond her
Sweet tales from this fodder within

Yet always redundant it sickens my eye
So much that it vomits forth tears
Malign pain recorded thro' years
By a man who had hope in a dream that would fly

And always the words ring of loneliness
Malignant and dismal reprieve
From a world that a regular fellow
Can function and pass thro' with ease

And I to the reader must say from my soul
what fluids run through these cold veins
And what twisted thoughts perch atop this old skull
So my imbalanced mind may remain
And I write with the truth of the dying
As he knows that his end slithers near
And to sweeten life's truth would be lying
For in life comes that struggle with fear
So I write for the man who is lonely
Or the woman who's lost an old friend
And for those who refuse to be hallow and used
And will scream of the truth to the end

Even now as I write these harsh truths
while you read my confessions of thought
A daughter has fallen to cancer
And an infant - stillborn - slowly rots
How wretched, How vile this must seem
To those still choosing to live in dreams
That I call out the world as I see
Far away from most images sweet

But I beckon for you to make use
Of that muscle we know as the brain
So one day you may see that there's beauty
In those lonely tears wept in the rain
I beg you embark on this journey
This pilgrimage into my mind
And I promise that once you emerge from the depths
Thy sun shall seem brighter in time
