Ev'ry time my lids retreat to hug their oval'd rims
Flushing light like silt from swollen ducts
My gaze imbibes the darkness like rich soil drinks from rain
Banishing the pain few can errupt

Shadows flicker 'gainst the light which pours from yon my lids
dancing as gray sculptures 'cross the shade
As concentration feeds upon the shadows; shuttered thoughts
Blissful pictures fore the black parade

Before me melanosis weaves her webs of emerald glades
With mighty jade she burkes my crowded ears
Crooning them with melodies - Concerto fr'in the boughs
Sev'ring bitter tension with her spears

Yet once rapacious darkness crawls beneath the hassock fields
(and) Clouds storm, tepid, strangling the heat
I lay entranced within the flux of fluvial reprieve
Drifting - River mists upon the breeze
'Round me rolls the dendral fumes of sap 'pon moss-kissed bark
Tow'ring thrones with baldacins of wreath
Within the rythmic swaying of such fecund shade-kissed wood
Crown'd with wind I revel as a king
