I. The dream - Nokturnal

Last night again I dreamt of you
the beauty of your face
The gentle curves which hold your hips
Pressed up to me - embraced
But not once did I hear your voice
At least your lips, moved not
Nor did our lips exchange affection
as my heart had sought
But in me I could hear your voice
gently kissing my soul
Assuring me that all was well
Time payed - The only toll
You gave to me a letter
And they tried to take it back
eleven pages of your soul
I help within my grasp
And then to me you gave
the gift which made the frigid, warm
That timid smile which evokes
Emotions in a storm
You had to go so quickly
Much, with haste and without warn
alone clenching eleven pages
as my passion swarm'd
I wish I could have whispered
hidden secrets I had held
So many years in mutiny
Against my soul; rebelled
But ne'er were phrases uttered there
from a tongue - to ear
and ne're was closure given
As your body disappeared
and so I stood there - page in hand
Across the words I skimmed
but couldn't make them out at all
Around me all was dim
Awaking to the dawn which raped
The plains whence darkness grew
Breath met to air this was
The third time I had dreamt of you

II. The Haze

Now sitting there scalp pressed to linen
Looking to the dawn
I realized it was all a dream
and now your warmth was gone
and in the wrinkles of the sheets
There seemed to be a face; Grinning
laughing at my loss and on my tongue
the bitter taste; Of loosing
everything I thought was real
with nothing but a memory
(in place of you) to feel
And so I sat their gazing
to the pine-kissed vistas on
The calender which rested on the blank
walls, Screaming you were gone
I shivered at the thought
of rising up to face the day
when such a gawdy chapter
of my sight was ripped away
But still I did until I found
A quiet place to sit...in shade
beneath the steaming sun...a newborn
torch Alas' was lit

III. The Daydream

And there we were now once again
Atop a shady brook
Amid great autumn's zenith
In your hand, my fist, you took
Walking as I trailed behind
Connected by hand's lace...and ev'r
so often your cheek would turn
revealing heaven's face
That timid smile I had grown
So fond of thro' the years
OF DREAMS - for I had only known you
In unconscious mirrors
For so long, you've inspired me
To fleck the page with ink
And not until two months ago
Did vision of you sink
you guided me until we reached
A willows crib of roots
And wind lifted your hair aflaunt
Those howling autumn flutes
You leaned down with that smile
While you gently kiss'd my neck
And tingles danced athwart my spine
Embracing your warm breath
Then suddenly my soul met climax
Clenched behind your hips
Straddling you swayed as I
collided with your lips
Tongues melted to one amid
The muffled humming screams
Breathing hard I looked around
Twas just another dream

A definite well worth Romantic conclusion - not overdone - not smothered by itself, but simply evocative and honestly expressed. Not to mention something dear to my own heart...

"eleven pages of your soul" Beauty pure. "The calender which rested on the blank walls" Amazing imagery. "...In unconscious mirrors." Deeply layered. This is very well written, nicely formatted. I love the dark edge hidden beneath... I feel I am exposed

I echo purr... this is another fabulous work. You'll have to forgive my lack of true commentary, but this has left me quite speechless. I'm off to reread...
