Take me away from here
She said to me
But all the while that I'm here
In that place she'd love to be
All I can think is
Take me away from here
So I can find serenity
An odd complexity
Wouldn't you agree?
The place she'd love to be
Is the place I want to flee
And the place she wants to flee
Is the closest to home I've ever been
Maybe we should do like we planned
Meet somewhere in the middle
And forget about the sand
That's worn our souls to the very core
That is my soul's demand
Some days, I want nothing more
But other days, I just want her
Here to hold me
Let life become a blur
And her take pictures for me
Take me away from here
Our hearts both say
We must meet in the middle then dear
So that we can laugh and play
