you make me wanna be
the better half of me
without you
i dunno what i'd do

when i look at the stars
i think about my scars
and what you'll say
when you see them someday

the first day i met you
i thought about the sea
how it'll never forget you
how it'll never let you be

when i look at the stars
i think about my scars
and what you'll say
when you see them someday

the first time you spoke
was the first time i could see
it was the first time someone awoke
something good in me

when i look at the stars
i think about my scars
and what you'll say
when you see me someday
