i didn't say i didn't notice
i didn't say that everything was alright
i didn't say i didn't learn this
i wanna be with you tonight

hold me close
don't let me slip away again
i'm your rose
don't let the thorns prick you again

is this love
or the beast
that fits like a glove
from the world of the east

hold me closer
don't let me drift off
they say i'm a poser
but they've never been this lost

i've written my stories
on paper, no glories
in what i have to say
i don't want to leave today

hold me close
don't let me slip away
i'll be your rose
tell me everything's okay

"i'll be your rose"...hmmmmm...yes, and if you were, I'd pluck you from the dirt and tuck you behind my ear, so that you'd always be there with me. (or, at least, I would if I knew you better) *Evangel*

a good write, but play with some of the wording and rhyme, and make it ever better to a great write
