I really miss the city
The city that's so pretty
Bright lights in the eve'ning
A world apart from this world of bleeding

I miss the smell of the docks
The sound of the waves
Crashing on the rocks
Made my own little caves

I can stand on my own two feet
As long as the ground is there
And the air is sweet
I could be there without a care

It's time to go back home
To the city streets
But not alone
Cuz the city is my retreat

Not a lot of mold growing
In the neighborhood
Just people knowing
What can be good

I wish you saw
I wish you might
Know this world so raw
Beauty here tonight

There was a fight
With the boys next door
Someone got hurt
Got dropped to the floor

Someone pulled a knife
Someone pulled a gun
They both took a life
Now there's no more fun

City of nightmares
City of dreams
City to nowhere
City of screams
