i fight and i fight
but is there ever a resolution
night after night
there is no solution

the scars i show
created by the knife
when it all goes
i still haven't taken a life

i fight and i fight
but is there ever a resolution
night after night
there's a simple solution

i could stop the struggle
with just one action
but i won't give up
each time chipping away another fraction

i fight and i fight
but is there a good resolution
night after night
i look for a good solution

i wake from my dreams
them burning in my mind
the house woken by my screams
it happens every time

i fight and i fight
but there's no resolution
night after night
this is my solution

Our nature is to survive, and so will you. Just live your life the way you want to and let people make their judgements... who cares?

I guess fighting instinct makes us human. Life is the biggest war we wage. Keep writing. I'll keep reading.

I think our nature is to be as stubborn as possible when we're struggling for victory. I also think routine offers comfort even if said routine is uncomforting. It's something at least which sometimes fills the "nothing" gap. ~Ship!
